Batman and Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero (1998)

Since my son and I only have seven episodes left in the Batman Animated series, it was time to watch the other animated film in the franchise.

The story focuses on Victor Fries who is continuing to try to restore his wife, Nora, to health. In an accident, her cryogenic chamber is broken, making her rescue that much more critical. In his efforts, he finds a match for organs and ends up kidnapping the person to perform the operation. It's up to Batman and Robin to save the day.

One of the things about this one is it focuses more on Fries than on Batman or Robin. It showed the constant struggle for Fries, who would do anything to save his wife. Always a tragic Batman tale. He's not a bad guy, in the typical sense, but he does whatever is necessary, good or not.

The animation quality stepped up for the film. While not quite as good as Mask of the Phantasm, it is still a solid entry into the Batman universe.

Overall, it was entertaining and had a solid story. It was a good way to wrap up our animated run before going in to Batman Beyond.

Yes, I'll definitely recommend this one.
