Goldfinger (1964)

The third in the James Bond marathon and of Sean Connery's lead. Also the best so far.

This one is about the lead character, Goldfinger, in his lust for gold. He has a master plan to become filthy rich and it's up to James Bond to stop him. Goldfinger, along with his henchmen Odd Job and Pussy Galore, stand in Bond's way of keeping the world a safer place.

This one has one of my favorite bad guys in the Bond franchise, Odd Job. He doesn't say a word but he's a bad arse Filipino who has a unique way of stopping his enemy and when that doesn't work, brute force fills in. He's a great foil for Bond and fun when he is on screen.

Goldfinger is somewhat of a typical evil genius bad guy trope, but his methods are more interesting to get what he wants. For some reason he likes to have Bond around to show him who the boss is. Of course, keeping Bond close to the action means the thwarting of plans, as always.

Pussy Galore is one of those ladies who won't fall for Bond's sheer charisma, no matter how hard he tries. She knows what she wants and will let nothing get in her way.

Overall this one was fun. It is Bond at his best.

Yes, I'll recommend this one.
