Die Another Day (2002)

Jumped into the last of the Pierce Brosnan films in the franchise. This one had some things going for it and some not so good things.

The story starts with a captured James Bond who goes through fourteen months of torture at the hands of his North Korean captors. Realizing he's been framed, Bond goes out on his own, without the support of MI6, to find out who. Along the way he joins forces with a NSA agent and they work together to stop the bad guy.

The things this one had going for it is that the action was solid. There were some really good scenes starting with the hovercraft one. There was also some behind the scenes stuff going on with M that was interesting.

The thing that works against the film, however, is that EVERY line seems like innuendo. This becomes incredibly apparent in his dialogue with the NSA agent as, almost literally, every line out of their mouths is double entendre. A quip here and there is fine, it's expected. Every line is just lazy writing.

Overall this one one of the better Brosnan films. It is not without flaws but the action and behavior of MI6 made it more exciting.

Yes, I'll recommend this one.
