A View to a Kill (1985)

The last of the Roger Moore films. This one catches flak, from time-to-time, but it is still fun. More so because it stars Christopher Walken as the bad guy.

The plot seemed like it was two different things. The first had to do with Christopher Walken and a horse ranch in Paris. The second had to do with a plot to corner the microchip market by disabling Silicon Valley. Bond must save the day, as always.

I mentioned Walken in this one and, if anything, there wasn't ENOUGH Walken. He wasn't over the top, which would have been slightly more fun. It also starred Grace Jones as May Day, the lead hench-person of Walken. She would have been fun to have more of a role as well. It could have easily gone into more campy territory but it didn't.

By this point the formula is still here. It's fun seeing the same characters over the course of the franchise. As Moneypenny gets older, Bond still flirts with her. M is M. And that stability is something that makes the series special after all of these years.

Overall this one was still entertaining and had some fun parts. It just felt weird that the two main stories really didn't connect in the way that they think they do. Instead, it feels like the film takes a right turn about halfway through.

Yes, I'll recommend this one, if anything for the great Bond theme by Duran Duran! :)
