The story is of an alien bug that ends up on earth and is frozen for about thirty years. A series of mishaps occur and the bug is released which results in zombie-like behavior in the living organisms it infects. The story focuses on a college campus and the students there as well as a detective who was involved in the original capture of the bug. Deaths ensue.
This one has the camp factor involved with it. It is definitely an 80s film and it shows. Combine that with the frat house feel and you've got Revenge of the Nerds with zombies.
It's a silly but fun film. They aren't QUITE zombies, so that adds something. You can also see they were thinking about a sequel. It did get a bit weird when the bugs infected a long dead character, but oh well.
Overall it's a fun flashback for be but it might be too campy fit modern day audiences
I'll still recommend it though.
