Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

Today's second movie of the day = Jurassic World Dominion. There was even interest from Lisa to see this one as it had Alan, Ellie, and Ian in it.

Sadly, I was not a fan. I know the Jurassic World films, as a whole, lack any solid story or plot but yeesh. I was truly questioning, at many points, how they could have a dinosaur film boring. As Ian might say 'They found a way.' Halfway through the film I was staying to question how much longer it was going to go on.

The story, what there is of one, had to do with a genetic super company who are rounding up the dinosaurs that got out in the last film and putting them on a nature reserve. There are other things going on but they really just point to the end of life on the planet as we know it.

One tiny spoiler? This film has locusts. Oh, BTW, did you know this film has locusts? No, really, it might have locusts. Keep your eyes peeled because you might see a locust. Ugh.

If you really break it down, the story kinda sorta falls into the same category as what we've seen so far in season four of Stranger Things but it is executed much more poorly. #IYKYK

This one suffers from the same syndrome of Kong and Godzilla films in that the humans are completely unnecessary. If they weren't in the film at all it would be much better. Instead, story, blah, story, blah... DINOSAUR DANGER, story, blah, story, blah, story, blah, and so on.

Less humans, more 🦖🦕🦖🦕!

The only reason I'm recommending this is that the scenes where dinosaurs were chasing humans were fun and intense. If you want to wait for awhile for that to happen and sleep during the rest, this is the film for you! My recommendation is meh overall.
