Cockneys vs Zombies (2012)

Today's (first) movie of the day = Cockneys vs Zombies. The only face I recognized was Alan Ford from Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

The story focuses on a zombie outbreak in London's East End but it's got more elements than that. It also features a bank robbery by some inept robbers. The other half is about a retirement home that is being bulldozed for a new housing market. The two stories are interlinked, all while a zombie invasion begins.

This one had some elements of comedy combined with the zombie element. It didn't quite have the same impact as Shaun of the Dead or Zombieland, but it had some fun scenes. It was more of a mismatch but it worked enough for me to enjoy it. Plus Alan Ford stole the show as he was great in every scene.

I will recommend this one. It's worthy of recognizing that in a world of way too many zombie films it has enough going for it to keep it entertaining.
