Nora from Queens Season One and Two Review

Nora from Queens Season One and Two Review

We've enjoyed the series so far. It stars Awkwafina, BD Wong, and Lori Tan Chinn as a family, guess what, living in Queens.

One of the great things about it is that the humor is quirky. It can get lewd, at times, but it usually fits the show. While we like Awkwafina, her grandmother, played by Chinn, is what makes the show great. You might recognize her as the Chinese lady who runs the commissary on Orange is the New Black. She is hilarious in every scene she is in. (P.S. You might recognize BD Wong as the chief dinosaur scientist in Jurassic Park) The quirkiness of the show is what kept us watching. We never knew what to expect and that's a good thing. There are certainly better episodes than others but we got some good laughs out of the majority of them.

I recommend it but it isn't really for the kiddos due to content. It might be a little much for the puritans out there as well. If you don't fit those categories, however, it is funny and entertaining.
