Don't Look Up (2021)

Today's second movie of the day = Don't Look Up. Since Lisa and I have the house to ourselves tonight and had the time for a film, we chose this one.

That was a bit of a mistake. The movie itself has some good satire, particularly about the state of affairs in the United States today. The problem is that it was an hour too long. An hour hour have easily been chopped out, if not more, for a tighter film.

The problem wasn't the content or the acting but instead continually pushing the ideas in our faces. WE GET IT! It just got to be so repetitive that we were more entertained petting our dog.

The acting is solid and the core message was on point but it just kept going and going and going... An hour before the movie was done I really started clock watching.

Leonardo DiCaprio was excellent, as always. Meryl Streep was solid as well. The rest of the characters were just kinda there, occupying space.

I am going to say to skip this one as my recommendation. Maybe Moonfall is more entertaining?
