Today's movie of the day = Cat People (1942). Another fun one in my black and white monster movie marathon. I had not seen this one before so it was so new to me. There was a reboot in 1982 which I have also not seen.
This one was interesting as the story was unique. Part gypsy curse, part monster, part love story, it all tied together fairly well. I didn't really mind that I only got to see the Cat Person for a few minutes of the film.
Simone Simon was great in the role and she was beautiful to boot. She played it well and makes me want to watch the sequel.
Overall yes, I'd recommend this one.
