Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008)

I have seen this one before but right now I am working through the Resident Evil game series in order so this one falls between Resident Evil 4 and 5. It occurs about a year after the events of Resident Evil 4 and sets the stage for 5.

The story is about Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, mostly Leon. It starts in an airport where the T-Virus has been released. Of course, it is the airport the Claire just landed at. Leon is called in to lead the Special Forces in to take out the zombies and save who they can. From there, it goes to another location where it is known that the new G-Virus is stored and the threat is out there that it might be released.

This is a 2008 film so the CGI is a bit 'crude' but it is still better than the video games. Back then they hadn't quite tuned the human CGI so it is a bit flat and the voice acting is fine but they needed some more background sound to match the environments.

Overall the story was decent and fit the tone of the games pretty well. It was also a better story than the live-action ones.

I'll recommend this one but it is more fun if you've played the games surrounding it.
