Today's movie of the day = Eyes Without a Face. It is a French film. It got a little screwy as I had in subtitles but the audio sync was off so I'd get the subtitles, hear the French being spoken, and then the lips would move. For a Criterion Collection title that seems to be a problem.
This was a good one. It had that creep/suspense factor which drove the film forward. That and there was some solid makeup to push it over the edge. The main character was insane but in a way that you can understand his motive.
Overall this one was a pleasant surprise. I will recommend it but if you are squeamish there is a scene you may not be able to get through.
